Cedar Clad Home – Whitby

While cedar cladding looks fantastic when new, over time it can weather and become prone to mildew ingress. While regular staining can maintain it, it is a worthwhile exercise to look at the option of painting the cedar boards to modernise the look and provide a longer lasting finish.

Using specialist sealers to first encapsulate the oils and tannins in the timber , this cedar home was primed and painted with Dulux paints to give a totally different look.

The result is a 1970’s home with a 2010’s look.
